Course Description

4-Day Certification Course

Lean , a concept first formalised by Toyota Production Systems, is the foundation of Process Improvement. Kaizen, a vital part of Lean, enables structured improvement in every organisation no matter the product, service or industry.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to enable employees to effectively use Lean tools to lead, facilitate and improve processes in any function through Kaizen activities. Participants will be trained to understand and analyse current state of process and improve it to a desirable future state through step-by-step proven methodologies.

Who Will Benefit?

Anyone who is interested in improving quality, productivity, time and cost of their services, products and processes. Ideally 20% of an organisation’s workforce should be Lean or Kaizen trained to be successful and improve continuously.

Course Agenda

This certification course comprises 4-days of classroom training where participants are enabled to lead and facilitate Kaizen events directly or virtually.

Day 1: 

Process Improvement Management / Introduction to Kaizen / Brain Storming / VOC & VOB / Affinity Diagram / Project Prioritisation 

Day 2:

SIPOC / Kaizen Charter / Process Flow Diagram / Value Stream Mapping / VA, NVA & BVA

Day 3: 

Root Cause Analysis / Impact Analysis Chart / Kaizen Newspaper – Action Item follow up

Day 4: 

Metrics Management / KPIs / Facilitation Best Practices / Virtual Kaizen Tools and Systems / Certification Assessment
